We are building a specialist project team to deliver a large-scale Talend data migration programme. As part of this team, you will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, pipeline accuracy, and business confidence throughout the migration lifecycle.
I am looking for three experienced Data Migration Testers to join immediately, working alongside six Talend Data Engineers and a Delivery Lead. This is a hands-on, technically focused testing role with high visibility across the programme.
This is an initial 6-month contract engaged inside IR35, with strong potential for extension subject to programme requirements. Candidates should be available to start within 2–4 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute data validation test cases across source and target systems
- Perform ETL pipeline testing to verify transformation logic and data flows
- Conduct reconciliation and row-count validation between environments
- Carry out regression testing to confirm existing business logic is preserved
- Support and coordinate UAT with business stakeholders
- Raise, track, and retest defects through to resolution
- Produce clear test evidence and reporting for the Delivery Lead
Requirements:
- Active SC clearance — mandatory, no exceptions
- Proven experience in data migration or ETL testing
- Strong SQL skills — able to write complex validation queries independently
- Experience testing data pipelines and transformation rules
- Familiarity with defect management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps etc.)
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and data mappings
- Clear written communication for test reporting
