Role overviewWe are looking for three experienced Senior .NET Developers to design, build and enhance enterprise applications using C#, modern .NET technologies and Microsoft Azure.
The successful candidates will be technically hands-on across the full software-development lifecycle, working on backend services, APIs, cloud components, data integration and deployment. You will contribute to technical design while maintaining a strong focus on clean, secure and maintainable code.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain applications using C# and modern .NET/.NET Core.
- Build scalable backend services, RESTful APIs and microservice-based components.
- Develop and integrate solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
- Produce clean, reusable and well-tested code following SOLID principles.
- Design and work with SQL Server databases, data models and stored procedures.
- Implement secure authentication, identity and access patterns within cloud applications.
- Contribute to technical design, solution documentation and development standards.
- Support automated build, testing and deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews, improve code quality and mentor less experienced developers.
- Troubleshoot application, integration and production issues.
- Work closely with architects, product teams, business analysts and other engineers within an Agile environment.
- Extensive commercial development experience using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
- Strong experience building RESTful APIs and distributed or microservice-based applications.
- Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, ideally including services such as Azure SQL, Functions, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Managed Identity or Data Factory.
- Strong SQL Server and database-development experience.
- Experience using Entity Framework or a comparable ORM.
- CI/CD experience using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar tooling.
- Strong understanding of unit testing, TDD, code reviews and software-design principles.
- Experience working across the complete software-development lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within a delivery team.
- React, TypeScript or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Docker, Kubernetes or containerised application delivery.
- RabbitMQ or other message-driven architectures.
- Application monitoring and logging using OpenSearch, Splunk or similar tools.
- Experience delivering applications within financial services, insurance or another regulated environment.
