Primary Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within Life Sciences organizations (pharma, biotech, med device, CROs).
- Drive revenue across Salesforce-related services, including advisory, optimization, implementation, and technical delivery.
- Sell both project-based solutions and staffing/augmentation services.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders, including business and IT leaders.
- Understand client business objectives and align Salesforce capabilities to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Lead client presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to shape compelling solutions across:
- Salesforce Health Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud, and Commercial/Patient Engagement platforms
- Process optimization and digital transformation initiatives
- Data, analytics, and integration strategies
- Position services that span strategy, advisory, and execution.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, including partner offerings and emerging capabilities.
- Stay current on Life Sciences trends, regulations, and commercial models (e.g., patient engagement, field effectiveness, compliance).
- Leverage Salesforce partnerships and alliances to drive joint opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams (delivery, recruiting, leadership) to ensure alignment and successful execution.
- Support go-to-market strategies, account planning, and marketing initiatives.
- Mentor junior sales or account team members as needed.
Education and Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in business development or sales within consulting or services organizations.
- Proven track record selling Salesforce-related services.
- Strong experience in the Life Sciences industry (pharma, biotech, med device).
- Demonstrated success selling both:
- Project-based engagements
- Staff augmentation / staffing solutions
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platforms and their application in Life Sciences.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with Salesforce products such as Health Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud, Sales/Service Cloud.
- Existing network within Life Sciences organizations.
- Experience working with or within Salesforce partner ecosystems.
