A professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Systems Manager to support a significant transformation project focused on the development and implementation of a new admissions and finance system.
This is a unique opportunity for a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, systems and business transformation.
The Opportunity Working closely with Finance, Operations and IT teams, you will play a key role in designing how financial processes and accounting requirements are integrated into a new admissions platform.
The assignment will initially focus on understanding the organisation's operational finance landscape and translating accounting requirements into system design. You will then support the build and implementation phase, ensuring the new solution delivers robust financial reporting and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with IT and operational stakeholders to define finance system requirements.
- Map accounting processes and determine how transactions should flow through the new admissions platform.
- Support the design and build of new finance systems and workflows.
- Translate business and operational requirements into finance-led solutions.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls, reporting capabilities and governance are embedded within the system.
- Act as a bridge between Finance, Operations and Technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Previous experience in finance systems, transformation or change projects.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial controls.
- Ability to engage effectively with both finance and technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a project-driven environment and translating complex requirements into practical solutions.
- 9-month initial contract.
- Hybrid working with 2 days per week in London.
