I am looking for a senior end-user computing engineer to join an energy trading client through the final, most critical stage of a Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration. With ~1,200 users already migrated, the remaining population is the most important in the business, front office and operations teams running predominantly shared Windows 11 devices, where persistent build issues have held up completion.
This is a genuinely hands-on role. You'll be building, troubleshooting and supporting workplace devices day to day, while also having the seniority and technical authority to review and challenge design decisions and approaches, particularly around the shared-device build that's proven troublesome. You'll also help take the pressure off a stretched desktop/workplace support team carrying a heavy BAU workload.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing and troubleshooting the Windows 11 build for shared/multi-user devices, and driving it to completion
- Supporting the remaining Windows 10 to Windows 11 migrations for high-importance users
- Day-to-day workplace engineering support, build, provisioning, troubleshooting, escalations
- Deep, current Windows 11 build and troubleshooting experience, imaging, task sequences, provisioning
- Strong Intune and Autopilot, plus SCCM/MECM in a co-managed estate
- Hands-on experience with shared / multi-user device configuration (Intune/Entra Shared Device Mode, assigned access / kiosk, or equivalent)
- Entra ID, Conditional Access, BitLocker, Windows Hello for Business, security baselining
- PowerShell automation
- The seniority to challenge design and approach — but the willingness to stay hands-on and support daily BAU
- Experience in financial services, trading or another regulated, high-importance-user environment is a strong advantage
