Job description
We are looking for an experienced Workday Absence & Time Lead to take ownership of the design, configuration, and ongoing optimisation of Workday capabilities across Absence, Time Off, and Time Tracking within a global environment. This role will act as the functional subject matter expert, ensuring time-related processes are effectively supported through scalable and reliable system solutions.
You will work closely with HR, Finance, and operational stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust Workday configurations, supporting a diverse and distributed workforce. With a strong focus on system stability, governance, and continuous improvement, you will play a key role in enhancing time and absence processes while supporting the transition from legacy solutions to a more integrated, centralised platform.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience across Workday Absence and Time Tracking, alongside a solid understanding of core HCM architecture, business processes, and security models. Experience supporting global deployments, including localisation considerations such as legislative requirements, will be important.
You will also be responsible for supporting Workday releases, evaluating new functionality, and driving adoption in line with business priorities. Working as part of a broader support model, you will provide advanced functional expertise, helping to resolve complex issues and ensuring consistent service delivery.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams. You will contribute to roadmap planning, support ongoing initiatives, and help ensure the platform continues to meet both operational and strategic needs.
