Project We are looking for a Senior Fortran Architect / Developer to modernize the build and project structure of a mathematically intensive legacy Fortran codebase.
Focus is on project architecture, build systems, and compiler compatibility (no changes to business logic).
Key Tasks
- Modernize and migrate the existing Fortran project setup
- Enable builds in Visual Studio (Windows) and Linux
- Ensure compatibility with Intel (ifort/ifx) and GNU (gfortran)
- Set up a clean build & dependency structure
- Create a structured Git repository with documentation
- Provide build instructions and support handover
- Strong senior experience with Fortran (legacy systems)
- Deep knowledge of Intel & GNU compiler ecosystems
- Proven experience in cross-platform porting (Windows/Linux)
- Solid background in build systems & dependency management
- Strong Git and project structuring skills
