Job description

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a private equity-backed technology business to appoint a Head of FP&A. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the executive leadership team and investors, this role will play a critical part in driving financial performance, strategic decision-making, and value creation across the organisation.

As the business continues its ambitious growth trajectory, the successful candidate will lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis, delivering commercial insight and sophisticated financial modelling to support organic growth initiatives, investment decisions, M&A activity, and future exit planning. This is a highly visible role with significant exposure to both senior leadership and private equity stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the FP&A function, developing best-in-class forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting processes.
  • Build and maintain integrated three-statement financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, investment decisions and M&A activity.
  • Partner with the CFO, CEO and leadership team to provide commercial insight, challenge assumptions and support data-driven decision making.
  • Own the annual budgeting, long-range planning and reforecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives.
  • Support board reporting, investor updates, lender presentations and strategic planning sessions.
  • Develop KPI frameworks and performance dashboards that provide visibility across financial and operational performance.
  • Work closely with commercial, sales, product and customer success teams to identify opportunities for growth, margin improvement and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience within a private equity-backed business is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and owning robust three-statement financial models.
  • Strong understanding of technology business models, including recurring revenue and subscription-based environments.
  • Proven ability to partner with executive leadership teams, investors and key stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities, with experience leveraging financial planning and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to present financial insights at board and investor level.
  • A commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Why Apply?
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a successful private equity-backed technology business at a pivotal stage of its growth journey. Working closely with both the CFO and investors, you will have the opportunity to shape strategy, influence key business decisions and play a central role in delivering value creation ahead of a future transaction or exit event.
