The Opportunity

We are partnering with a private equity-backed manufacturing business in the West Midlands to appoint a Head of FP&A. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with both the leadership team and investors, this role will be instrumental in driving financial performance, strategic decision-making, and value creation across the business.
As the company continues its growth journey, the successful candidate will lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis, providing commercial insight and robust financial modelling to support key strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and future exit planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the FP&A function, establishing best-in-class forecasting, budgeting and reporting processes.
  • Develop and maintain integrated three-statement financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, acquisitions and investment decisions.
  • Partner with the CFO, CEO and wider leadership team to provide financial insight and challenge business performance.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reporting, identifying key trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Own the annual budgeting and reforecasting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the preparation of board presentations, lender reporting and investor packs.
  • Drive cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
  • Develop KPI frameworks and performance dashboards to improve decision-making across the business.
  • Support M&A activity, due diligence projects and integration planning where required.

Candidate Profile
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience within a private equity-backed business is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience building and owning robust three-statement financial models.
  • Proven ability to partner and influence senior stakeholders, executive leadership teams and investors.
  • Experience operating within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting at board level.

Why Apply?

This is a high-profile opportunity to join a successful PE-backed manufacturing business at a pivotal stage of its growth journey. The role offers significant exposure to both investors and senior leadership, with the opportunity to directly influence strategy, drive value creation and play a key role in the future success of the business.
