About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantitative Developer to join a leading financial institution in London. This role focuses on the design and development of the next-generation eTrading platform within the bank’s Global Markets division. This is a globally oriented position that empowers you to work on cutting-edge trading solutions and make a critical impact within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the core trading algorithmic platform in line with the business’s evolving needs.
- Define and implement monitoring tools to track platform performance, both in general and in real time.
- Continuously identify and propose innovative solutions to improve the eTrading platform and address cross-organisational challenges.
- Build and promote a cross-asset Research & Development framework in collaboration with international teams.
- Collaborate with management to define specifications for new projects and estimate implementation costs.
- Lead the delivery of non-routine tasks and mentor junior colleagues within the team.
- Act as a key stakeholder in critical projects, such as exchange interactivity and onboarding initiatives.
- Promote best practices in platform usage and assist in resolving production-level issues when needed.
- Exceptional programming skills, particularly in Java and Python, with demonstrable experience in an industrial context.
- Expert-level experience in eTrading quantitative development within Global Markets.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and an ability to proactively identify areas for development.
- Advanced relationship management and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A track record of leading projects and delivering innovative quantitative solutions.
- A postgraduate degree (e.g., MSc or PhD) in Computing Science or a related quantitative discipline.
