A central government consultancy is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to oversee delivery across modern .NET and Azure-based platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role combining software engineering, cloud deployment, and DevOps within secure, mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across engineering and DevOps teams
- Lead the design and development of scalable .NET/Azure solutions
- Oversee cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management
- Drive engineering standards, code quality, and secure development practices
- Work closely with stakeholders to deliver within Agile/Scrum environments
- Mentor engineers and promote continuous improvement across teams
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- C#
- .NET 6
- ASP.NET Core
- Experience with Visual Studio 2022
- Source control experience with Git, Azure Repos, and/or GitLab
- Strong experience developing cloud-based applications in Azure
- Proven experience with:
- Azure platform services
- Azure DevOps
- Azure Pipelines
- CI/CD workflows
- Experience managing environments across Dev / Pre-Prod / Prod
- Strong understanding of release management and automation
- Experience with:
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake
- Azure Stream Analytics
- Experience with:
- Python (Pandas, NumPy)
- Data science / ML libraries (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, NLTK)
- Data visualisation tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Active SC NPPV3 clearance (essential – cannot be sponsored)
- Experience working in government, policing, or highly regulated environment
