A major energy trading organisation is looking for a Senior LNG Technologist to play a key role in the modernisation of its front-office trading platform.
This is a hands-on position focused on refactoring and evolving a large-scale C# estate rather than maintaining legacy systems. Working closely with traders, senior technology leadership and business stakeholders, you'll help shape the future architecture and engineering direction of a critical LNG trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the redesign and modernisation of a complex trading platform.
- Assess existing functionality and determine what should be retained, improved or removed.
- Drive architectural and engineering decisions across the platform.
- Work directly with traders and front-office stakeholders to deliver business-critical solutions.
- Contribute hands-on to development whilst providing technical leadership.
- Strong C#/.NET development background.
- Experience within energy or commodities trading environments.
- Proven architecture and system design experience.
- Track record of modernising or refactoring legacy applications.
- Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on technical leadership role.
