Commercial Finance Manager St Albans | 3 Days Office / 2 Days Home £80,000 - £90,000 + 25% Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you a commercially-minded finance professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments?
We're partnering with a market-leading manufacturing business undergoing significant growth and investment. As the organisation continues to scale, they're looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager to support strategic decision making across procurement, pricing, supply chain and cost management.

This is a high-profile role with exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence business performance across a large and complex operation. For ambitious finance professionals, it also offers excellent long-term progression opportunities within a business that actively develops and promotes its talent.
The Opportunity Working closely with Finance, Procurement, Operations and Supply Chain teams, you'll be the finance lead for key cost and pricing initiatives, helping the business understand market dynamics, forecasting assumptions and commercial risks.

You'll provide insight that shapes decision making, support long-range planning, improve forecasting accuracy and help drive continuous improvement across commercial finance processes.
The role requires someone who can confidently challenge, influence and partner with stakeholders across a large organisation while remaining highly analytical and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to provide commercial insight on pricing and cost movements
  • Support forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning activities
  • Develop scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Analyse market trends and their impact on input costs, margins and profitability
  • Provide robust commercial challenge and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Drive improvements in reporting, financial modelling and decision-support tools
  • Support risk assessment activities and improve visibility of future cost exposures
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insight for non-finance audiences
  • Contribute to business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Experience gained within a large, complex organisation
  • Strong commercial finance, FP&A or finance business partnering background
  • Proven experience partnering with Procurement, Supply Chain or Operational teams
  • Excellent financial modelling, forecasting and analytical capability
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues
Desirable
  • Experience supporting pricing and procurement decisions
  • Exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, consumer goods or industrial environments
  • Understanding of commodity-driven cost pressures and market dynamics
