The Role As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of financial performance across a key business area, acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate reporting, forward-looking analysis, and actionable insights that influence strategic decisions and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly reporting processes, including variance analysis and clear, concise commentary
- Take ownership of financial planning cycles including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Partner with senior stakeholders to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIs to improve business visibility
- Provide financial input into commercial decisions, including pricing, contracts, and new business initiatives
- Support investment appraisals and ensure robust financial evaluation of projects
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure integrity of data and reporting processes
- Deliver insight into performance trends and recommend actions to improve outcomes
- Driving performance across a significant revenue-generating business unit
- Supporting commercial teams with financial modelling and decision support
- Improving the quality and accessibility of financial insight across the business
- Partnering cross-functionally to align financial and operational priorities
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Strong commercial finance or business partnering experience
- Background in retail, FMCG, or another high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insight
- Proven experience working with non-financial stakeholders
- Experience in a multi-site or customer-facing organisation
- Exposure to pricing, promotions, or contract-based revenue models
- Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools
- Salary up to £62,000
