Delivery Consultant

Job description

Product Owner
Location: Hybrid (Midlands)
Salary: up to £65,000
Contract: Permanent

We are currently in search of a Product Owner required to join a high-performing product squad, owning the end-to-end delivery of software that powers reliable, scalable systems. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving agile environment, enjoys turning complex industry challenges into clear, deliverable product capabilities, and can drive a cross-functional squad without losing momentum.

Role Highlights
  • Translate the product roadmap into actionable sprint deliverables, owning and prioritising the product and sprint backlog, writing clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria that enable efficient, high-quality delivery with minimal ambiguity or rework
  • Operate and continuously improve agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, keeping the squad focused, productive, and consistently delivering incremental value
  • Act as the primary interface between stakeholders and the delivery team, providing clear and consistent updates on progress, risks, and outcomes, managing expectations and resolving conflicts across internal and external dependencies
  • Actively manage the RAID log, identifying and mitigating risks early, removing blockers, and maintaining delivery momentum across a squad that spans Engineering, Test, Operations, and Customer Success
  • Use tools pragmatically to enhance delivery efficiency, supporting backlog refinement, improving user story quality, and analysing operational data to sharpen prioritisation decisions
What they're looking for
  • Demonstrated experience leading agile delivery teams and owning product or feature delivery end-to-end in a software or data-driven environment
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), with the ability to run effective ceremonies and drive continuous improvement
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, customers, and technical teams, able to influence, challenge, and align across competing priorities
The team is moving quickly and playing a critical role in reducing operational friction, and unlocking value across the wider ecosystem. If you are a Product Owner with a strong agile delivery background, get in touch by applying or emailing me directly at: james.ireson@weareinvestigo.com
