What you’ll be doing
- Managing end-to-end payroll processing on a regular cycle collecting and validating payroll inputs including starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, overtime, and deductions
- Processing gross-to-net payroll calculations with a high level of accuracy
- Ensuring payroll deadlines are met in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Handling statutory payments, filings, and payroll compliance requirements
- Reconciling payroll reports and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting year-end payroll activities and audits
- Acting as the main point of contact for employee payroll queries
- Proven experience running full end-to-end payroll independently
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, and statutory requirements
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong systems experience and confident Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Payroll qualification or certification
- Experience with payroll system implementations or upgrades
