Job description

Investigo Government Solutions require a Holmes Reader/Receiver in the East Midlands. 

This is a temporary contract for 4 months, with a possible extension.
Paying £170 per/day.

Purpose of the role:
The initial and continuing direction of a major investigation by providing and being responsible for the appropriate management of information, documents, and actions within the Major Incident Room in order to develop the enquiry.

Responsibilities:

To perform the role of Document Reader/Receiver or Action Manager within the Major Incident Room/Casualty Bureau to develop the enquiry and provide support to the SIO. This involves the initial and continuing support of a major investigation by providing and being responsible for the appropriate management of information, documents, and actions within the Major Incident Room/Casualty Bureau in order to develop the enquiry. The post holder performs a key decision maker role in the investigation and will be expected to exercise a degree of judgement and initiative in the identification of further lines of enquiry and linked information/intelligence, in raising relevant actions to further investigation and in the prioritisation and allocation of actions. These decisions impact significantly on the investigation.

Essential criteria:

• Previous Experience of working in an investigatory role and qualified as a PIP Level 2 investigator, demonstrating analytical and investigative skills with knowledge of Criminal Law and the Criminal Justice system.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and write clear and concise reports and correspondence
• Experience of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-pressured environment whilst maintaining accuracy, understanding how their own work impacts others
• Must be able to effectively research and analyse information and make decisions based on professional judgment and consideration of all relevant factors.
• Knowledge and experience of using IT systems and computer keyboard skills.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively as a team member and without supervision with experience of developing positive working relationships with others.
• Able to demonstrate openness to change to include a flexible approach to both working environment, location, and shift pattern with the ability to travel across the region
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate a level of awareness of equality & diversity issues appropriate to this role
