We are currently working with a Medical Device manufacturer within the Midlands, who are looking for a highly skilled and experienced ERP Data Migration Lead. This role is integral to the success of a complex enterprise transformation programme, leading the end-to-end delivery of the data migration workstream as they implement IFS transitioning from SAP.
As the ERP Data Migration Lead, you will combine strategic ownership and governance with hands-on leadership to execute and validate high-risk migration activities, while overseeing broader execution by technical and data teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks and standards
- Define and execute the Data Migration Strategy
- Manage data-related risks and dependencies across the programme
- Control data migration scope across entities, systems, and domains
- Analyse and assess legacy data structures, volumes, quality, and readiness
- Lead data mapping workshops with key stakeholders
- Define rules for transformation and enrichment
- Lead efforts to cleanse and de-duplicate data for improved quality
- Define and oversee requirements for migration tooling
- Plan and execute data extractions, transformations, and loads into target ERP systems
- Conduct comprehensive test migration cycles, including reconciliation of records, financial balances, and control totals
- Validate and address any anomalies discovered during testing
- Develop and maintain detailed migration components of the cutover plan
- Participate in dress rehearsals, ensuring readiness for final migration steps
- Lead final migration execution, including data and opening balances reconciliation
Key Deliverables:
- Comprehensive Data Migration Strategy and Plan
- Executed and audited test migration packs and reconciliation outputs
- Verified and auditable evidence for final migration steps
- Data stabilisation and successful sign-off at go-live
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with IFS Cloud
- Expereince of working within the Manufacturing industry
- Proven experience leading data migration workstreams on ERP and finance programmes
- Hands-on expertise in managing data extractions, transformations, loads, and reconciliations
- In-depth knowledge of migrating financial and opening balance data
- A track record of operating effectively in high-pressure environments
- Experience with SAP to IFS Cloud migrations (essential)
