Commercial Finance Manager Location: Luton (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £70,000 Reliable 25% Bonus

The Opportunity We’re partnering with a highly regarded, fast‑growing business with a strong reputation for culture and internal progression to hire a Commercial Finance Manager.
This role has been created following a successful restructure driven by growth, with the previous post‑holder stepping into a more senior position. The business continues to invest heavily in its commercial finance capability and this role sits at the heart of that journey.

The Role Reporting into senior finance leadership, this role will deliver a blend of commercial insight and core financial control, with a clear emphasis on value‑adding activity.

• 80% Commercial Finance / 20% Month‑End
• Acting as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders
• Providing insight that directly impacts product and commercial performance
• Strong exposure to board‑level reporting and decision‑making

As the business continues to scale, the role will evolve to lead a team of up to three direct reports, making this a strong long‑term career move with a clear leadership pathway.
Key Responsibilities

• Drive commercial performance through insightful analysis, forecasting and modelling
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to influence strategic decisions
• Deliver high‑quality management information with clear, actionable insights
• Own elements of budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning
• Support month‑end close with focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
• Provide detailed product‑level performance analysis and recommendations
• Develop financial models to support new initiatives and growth projects
• Present findings to senior leadership and board‑level stakeholders
• Play a key role in shaping the future commercial finance structure

Candidate Profile This role will suit candidates who have worked in large, data‑heavy organisations, for example:

• FMCG
• Consumer goods
• Retail
• Other complex, fast‑paced environments

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in a Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering role
• Strong analytical capability and confidence working with large data sets
• Experience influencing non‑finance stakeholders
• A proactive, curious mindset with a genuine desire to add value
• The ability to balance commercial insight with core finance responsibilities

Bonus points for:

• Power BI or advanced data visualisation experience
