This role will focus on building and maintaining robust automated testing for Salesforce platforms, supporting reliable releases and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing Salesforce Test Automation
- Build and maintain automated test coverage for Salesforce applications, including customisations and integrations.
- Develop reusable and scalable automation assets aligned with Salesforce best practices.
- Automate functional, regression, and end-to-end Salesforce test scenarios.
- Carry out targeted manual or exploratory testing where automation is not appropriate.
- Analyse Salesforce user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria to define test scenarios.
- Validate Salesforce functionality across Lightning components, workflows, and data models.
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and raise defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Work closely with Salesforce Developers, Administrators, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
- Contribute to Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
- Ensure appropriate test coverage, traceability, and adherence to quality standards.
- Review test results to identify trends, risks, and quality improvements.
- Enhance automation reliability and execution performance.
- Support the integration of Salesforce test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong hands-on experience automating tests for Salesforce platforms.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Experience, and custom objects.
- Experience working with Salesforce-specific automation tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems and automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Ability to create and manage Salesforce test data, environments, and test suites.
- Good understanding of software testing principles and the Salesforce delivery lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
- Confident using defect tracking and work management tools.
