Job description

Quality Assurance Tester (QAT) x2 – Azure / Web / Low-Code £300–£335 per day (Inside IR35)
6 Month Initial Contract
UK – Hybrid (Executive Agency)
We are looking to engage two experienced Quality Assurance Testers (QAT) to join a high-profile programme within a UK Executive Agency.
This is an excellent opportunity for self-sufficient, delivery-focused testers who can take full ownership of testing activity and operate with minimal supervision.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for leading and driving testing activities end-to-end, ensuring high-quality delivery across complex systems and platforms. The role requires individuals who can confidently shape testing approaches, identify risks early, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver testing activities across the full lifecycle
  • Design, plan and execute test strategies across web, cloud (Azure), and low-code platforms (Appian/D365)
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases
  • Perform functional testing across large-scale systems, including:
    • Regression
    • UAT
    • Smoke testing
    • Integration testing
  • Carry out UI, API, cross-browser/device, and integration testing
  • Manage defects end-to-end (logging, categorisation, prioritisation)
  • Work closely with developers, delivery teams, vendors and stakeholders
  • Communicate test outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support and mentor junior testers and contribute to continuous improvement
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering testing across complex, large-scale systems
  • Strong background in manual functional testing
  • Experience with Azure and web-based applications
  • Exposure to low-code platforms such as Appian or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as:
    • JIRA
    • Zephyr
    • TestRail
    • Confluence
  • Ability to work independently and proactively drive testing activity
Additional Requirement
  • Awareness of testing considerations for AI-enabled or data-driven applications, including:
    • Data quality
    • Reliability
    • Integration points
    • Risk management
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of test automation principles/tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
  • Understanding of change management processes
  • Basic awareness of non-functional testing
  • ISTQB (or equivalent) certification
