ML Engineer - Contract - Outside IR35 - Financial Services
I'm looking for an ML Engineer to work for an Financial Services for an immediate start. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in Applied ML / NLP / Document AI (research or production)
- Strong Python PyTorch, with modern ML stacks (HF Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Unstructured, DeepSpeed, vLLM)
- Hands‑on with OCR, layout parsing, token alignment, multi‑modal architectures
- Experience with LLM/VLM APIs, fine‑tuning or prompt‑engineering for extraction/summarisation
- Solid understanding of vector DBs and RAG (Weaviate, Pinecone, Qdrant, etc.)
- Experience designing evaluation pipelines and caring about accuracy, grounding and performance
- Comfortable with financial / structured documents and clear communication in English
The position will require an immediate start and will be fully remote. For the right candidate, the client can pay up to £700 Per Day.
