A career-defining opportunity. A unique island lifestyle. A role with real impact.

Investigo Government Solutions (IGS) are proud to partner with the Economic & Financial Crime Bureau (EFCB) in Guernsey as they continue to strengthen their capability to tackle serious and complex financial crime. We are seeking talented Financial Investigators at multiple levels, Investigator, Higher Investigator and Senior Investigator, to join an organisation at the forefront of economic crime enforcement.
Based on the beautiful island of Guernsey, these are permanent, on‑island roles offering exceptional career progression, meaningful work, and an enviable work–life balance.

About the EFCB
The EFCB is an independent law enforcement authority with a clear mandate: to detect, investigate and disrupt financial crime across the Bailiwick and internationally. Its remit includes complex fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, corruption, tax evasion, and the recovery of criminal proceeds. Working under a statutory Director, the Bureau operates with autonomy, professionalism, and a commitment to the highest investigative standards.

The Opportunity

As a Financial Investigator, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality criminal and civil investigations that genuinely make a difference. Your work will include:
  • Leading or supporting complex economic and financial crime investigations
  • Reviewing allegations, assessing offences, and developing robust investigative hypotheses
  • Planning and delivering proportionate investigative strategies
  • Gathering, analysing, and presenting intelligence and evidence from varied sources
  • Preparing clear evidential reports, summaries, and case files for the Law Officers of the Crown
  • Tracing, identifying, and recovering assets through criminal and civil recovery mechanisms
Senior and Higher-level posts also include:
  • Providing specialist investigative advice
  • Influencing policy, process, and good practice
  • Supervising, developing and mentoring investigators
  • Overseeing complex and sensitive casework
Why Guernsey? Why the EFCB?

This is more than a job; it is a lifestyle and a chance to make a tangible impact.

Substantial salary with progression opportunities
Relocation & rent allowance to support your move
Low, flat 20% tax rate
Exceptional quality of life in a safe, vibrant island community
Work that truly matters, protecting communities from high‑harm financial crime
Strong professional development, training, and exposure to cross‑border investigations

Who We are Looking For

You will bring operational experience in economic and financial crime investigations, criminal and civil, with the confidence to handle complex information and deliver high‑quality outcomes. You will be analytical, calm under pressure and committed to accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.

You will also have:
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A solid understanding of the criminal justice process and investigative practice
